4 Types of People to Avoid in 2024
4 types of people to avoid in 2024 to have a peaceful and happy year. Here are 4 types of people I encounter almost every year.
People who Always Try to Bring You Down
This can be anyone from your colleague to a family member or even a very close friend. They may criticize your positive efforts, pressure you to do something that you dislike, make fun of your appearance, shame you with passive aggressive jokes, or even constantly judge you negatively.
If you feel that someone is belittling you or hurting your self-respect and self-esteem, it’s good to be assertive, address the problem directly with that person and steadily avoid contact with them. If you’re stuck in same environment with such people and you cannot avoid them, then simply limit your communication to safeguard your mental health.
People who Abuse You
If you ever feel or have the impression that someone is hurting you or trying to hurt you mentally, emotionally, physically or even financially, you need to stay away from such people.
There are also people who only connect with you for their own needs and do not care what you think or feel. Once their needs are met, they no longer care about what happens to you or your life. It’s time to pay attention and be on the lookout for fake people who are subtly abusing you.
People who don’t Apologize
Look out for those who don’t apologize even when they make a mistake. These people are very concern about safeguarding their ego than the pain you are going through.
There are also those who apologize a lot so that they can continue hurting you. Avoid people who apologize a million times and repeat the same mistake (bad behavior towards you) a billion times.
People who Always Think They Know Better than You and They Are Always Right
Anyone who does not listen to you or respect your points, values, beliefs, culture or perspectives must be avoided. These people act as if your real experiences are invalid. They speak in a way like they know better and are always right.
In reality, I view them as fools. Never spend too much time with fools. Spending time with fools does not make us smart and only leads to mental exhaustion and various psychosomatic symptoms.
Please take care of yourself for the year 2024. Thank you for reading and Advanced Happy New Year.
